Because of a mistake I made we could not update the blog while we were in El Paso.  If you were hoping to follow our team as we served at the Ysleta Lutheran Mission I am sorry to say you couldn't.  But let me update you as to how the week went for us.
On Saturday night we arrived in El Paso and were met by our host Alonso who drove us to the mission where we spent the night.
Sunday had us worshiping at the church on campus, San Pablo.  The service was a in both English and Spanish, and during the service Pastor Heimer commissioned our team to do the work that would be set in front of us during the week.
After service we took a drive to the San Elizario historic Mission which is one of the sites on the El Paso Mission Trail.
Monday morning through Thursday evening had us working on building no.5, a small building that needed a renovation work and building no.3, a little bit bigger of a building that needed to have everything taken out of it so more work could be done on it.
We worked hard throughout the week and accomplished very much.
The weather was great as it was not too warm, just warm enough to keep us comfortable.
During the evening hours we were able to take a couple of automobile tours of El Paso, seeing the scenic overlook and the downtown area.
We ate very well as we had Pedro and Lucy, who work at the Mission doing the cooking for us and it was tremendous.
On Saturday we left the Mission at 3:45 am for our ride to the airport and a flight that left at 6:00am.
It was a great trip and a great team to be a part of.

Only 4 more days until we leave the great white north for that old west Texas town of El Paso.  The servants that make up our team are Jerilyn Bloomfield, Tom Bloomfield, Katie Cowan, Paul Johnson, Debby Suchyta and Greg Suchyta.
